Frequently Asked Questions
-
Coaching focuses on the present and future: what’s working, what’s not, and how to move forward. While therapy often explores the past to support healing, coaching is more action-oriented. It’s about building self-trust, clarity and capacity—with you as the expert of your own experience. My approach is always trauma-informed and rooted in compassion, but I don’t diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
-
While both are collaborative and tailored to you, the focus is different:
Coaching is best if you want a reflective space to explore identity, navigate life changes, build self-trust and develop strategies that fit your way of being. It’s about guiding you toward your own insights and next steps.
Consulting is best if you need subject-matter expertise, practical solutions or clear recommendations, for example, navigating workplace accommodations, advocating for your needs or creating affirming environments for others. Here, I draw more directly on my experience, research and analysis to guide you.
Not sure which is the right fit? Don’t worry! We can clarify this together during the free Meet & Feel session.
